The Boeing Stearman PT-17 Trainer In 1934,The Boeing Stearman became an instant success during World War II. Despite its out of date design, but it was a simple, rugged edifice that made it ideal as a trainer for novice pilots for the U.S. Army Air Corp and the US Allied partners

 

 More than 10, 000 of these Boeing trainer  aircraft were built. There are at least 1, 000 still flying today
